We had the opportunity to go to Discovery Kingdom while we were in CA on Monday. It was awesome. I would love to show you some wonderful pictures but of course my camera was in Idaho. We bought a digital camera there but of course we have to send those in to be developed so I pulled some pictures off of their website.
This is Jocko. He was sooooo freakin huge. They look big but when they come right up the glass it is amazing. And they are so graceful in the water. He just swam back and forth and even did a backwards kind of dive off of the rocks.

This is the first place we went. The sea lions were awesome and Jeff and Dyllon got to feed them some fish. I, of course, passed on the experiance because I was not going to touch the frozen fish. Nasty.

This is Odin. He is an awesome tiger. They actually fold their ears down to cover the ear holes when they dive so they don't get water in them. The trainers throw pieces of meat in the deep part of their pool so that they dive for them. It was pretty cool. Their paws are huge. It was amazing.

This is Shouka the killer whale. He was pretty awesome. We sat in the splash zone but the water landed right at our feet. Thankfully. They ever got a dolphin in the act. They would both jump in the air together or they would jump over one another.

These are some of the sharks. When you first walk into the shark building you get on a moving walk way and over your head are where the sharks are floating. It was scary and cool at the same time. I thought that it would scare Dyllon but he loved it.

This was probably Dyllon's favorite part. He and Jeff actually rode on the elephant. I took some pictures of that and will get them on here as soon as I can. There was a elephant there that was 65 years old and we were told that they only live to be 50 or something like that.

They had a train town for the little kids. So Jeff and Dyllon rode on Thomas the train. The bad part was that when they let you off of the train, it led right into the gift shop. So then we had to get something for Dyllon or have a meltdown with about 20 other kids and parents.

They also rode on Harold the Helicopter. But Jeff and Dyllon picked one that didn't move, so that part sucked but Dyllon still had fun.

Bertie the Bus was also a great ride. Dyllon enjoyed it but wan't prepared for it to actually rise in the air. I think it took both him and Jeff off guard.
It was a great day and a long one. As you can imagine, both kids fell asleep on the way home, so Jeff took me to the outlet mall. Unfortunatley he stopped right in front of the gymboree store so of course I had to go in.
After that we went to his friend Mark's house for a BBQ. They had a almost 3 year old there and his personality was exactly like Dyllon's. It was so funny to watch and compare. More about that later. I think this blog is long enough.
